Every day in our cities, dozens of people are found abandoned — lying unconscious, injured, mentally ill, or too weak to seek help. These are the roadside unknowns: nameless faces society overlooks, left to suffer in silence.
At Uravugal Trust, we believe no life is worthless. That’s why we actively rescue and rehabilitate individuals found on roadsides, bus stops, railway stations, hospitals, and public spaces — people who are often on the verge of death, ignored by the world around them.
What We Do
- Respond to emergency calls from the public, police, and hospitals.
- Rescue individuals who are mentally ill, injured, abandoned, or terminally ill.
- Provide first aid, food, water, and clothing.
- Coordinate hospital admission or hospice care.
- Trace identities and contact family members if possible.
- For those who don’t survive, we ensure dignified last rites and burial.
